PARALLEL

Parallels between what's happening world wide and what's happening in me.

We are beginning to accept that there has been colossal corruption and darkness in our world - in gov, media, church institutions, academia, justice ......... However I notice parallels between whats happening in this world and whats happening in me . Light shinning on my corruption and darkness, me being exposed too.

What of my 60,000 sealed indictments? What of my selling out to foreign powers (to gain approval from others, pay to play), what if I am living under the blackmail of "once you did this" and the fear of being exposed. Do I control and manipulate to create an illusion of certainty and significance? Am I any different to some politician?

In so any ways the darkness and corruption across our world is simply a reflection (and caused by) what's in our hearts. Fix the world without some serious change in us - what have we got? If they all go to Gitmo, and the media tells the truth, we elect good leaders, and Hollywood is made new - what then?

This Great Awakening is so much about us awakening too. Not just seeing what "they " have done, and justice being served, but seeing our state and awakening to who we really are. I too am on the journey of "dark to light".

What my dark has looked like:

Lies, lies , lies from the media, our teachers, our leaders, our parents, our culture, our churches, lies about everything. However the biggest lie has been about me. Who I am.

I've been told from birth that "I needed to do to get". Life is all transactional. I be good, I get good. I be bad, I get bad. Reinforced moment by moment by parents, teachers, friends, enemies, church, partners,.............. Of course that's the way life works, we see evidence confirming that every day. And if I have not, then I try harder, manipulate more, do do do. If only I can get my ducks lined up then I'll be ok. Problem here is "I" decide what having my ducks lined up looks like. How would I know? What a crazy pursuit!

If I knew who I am I would need none of this.

Who am I then?

"Made in His image", "died in Adam", "made alive in Christ", returned to my original design! "Still a sinner and waiting till I go to heaven to have life" - no way. That is the mother of all lies. Right there.

Living in the wonder of who we humans were created to be, right now, is surely at the heart of the GREAT AWAKENING.
